My Philosophy
Nutrition and health has never been more confusing as the amount of conflicting advice continues to grow. I'm Amy Patton, a Registered Dietitian specializing in a non-diet approach and Intuitive Eating from a Health At Every Size® (HAES) perspective. I am passionate about helping people ditch diets, restrictions, and food rules in order to cultivate a peaceful relationship with food and their bodies. I strongly believe size and shape do not determine your health, and I want to empower clients to make behavior-based changes, rather than changes focused on weight. Your mental health is just as important as your physical health, and my goal is to support you on your journey to nourish both.

Amy Patton RD
Nutrition Therapist
Growing up, I was fortunate enough to come from a very weight-neutral household and was exposed to a variety of different foods. Yet, I still fell prey to diet culture, disordered eating habits and poor body image in my young adult years. I was very rigid with my food and exercise, believing these things needed to be tightly controlled in order to be “healthy”.
With age, a better education, two pregnancies, and raising two uniquely different children I realized health is complex and about so much more than food and exercise, and that restriction and body shaming cause deep, unnecessary harm. I began to challenge assumptions I made about health, and along the way found a way of living that is balanced and sustainable. I have reconnected with the pure joy of eating and movement and have become much more present in my life.
If you want to leave the chaos of dieting, work with me, I promise to support you in finding more peace, confidence and respect for your body.
